FireTopper Pro II Acoustic Speaker FireHood

The Firetopper Pro II Acoustic Speaker Firehood is designed to protect the fire and acoustic integrity of ceilings when installing in-ceiling speakers. Suitable for suspended and plasterboard ceilings, it combines fire protection, acoustic insulation and thermal protection in a simple, rapid-installation design.

Installing an in-ceiling speaker requires cutting through the existing ceiling barrier. The Firetopper Pro II is designed to help restore that barrier while also reducing sound leakage into the room above and protecting the speaker from building debris, dust and water leaks.

Suitable for round in-ceiling speakers with a cut-out size of up to 300 mm and a depth of up to 185 mm, it can be installed from either above or below the ceiling.

Description

Firetopper Firehoods have been designed specifically for in-ceiling speakers and conform with the latest IEE and Building Regulations for Fire and Acoustic integrity of ceilings. The Firetopper Pro also contains a layer of acoustic foam to cut sound leakage into the room above (typical reduction approx. 3dB), as well as providing a thermal barrier to prevent heat escaping through the speaker

It features their unique Fire Red Low Smoke Zero Halogen, triple layer acoustic material which boasts the highest acoustic damping in its class and conforms to the latest IEE and Building Regulations for Fire and Acoustic integrity of ceilings.

The internal collar means there is no need for fiddly pins or clips. The hood is clamped firmly into place by the speaker swing clamps, forming a far better fire and acoustic seal with the plaster board and vastly reducing your install time.
